The King's Speech - 12 Academy Awards Nomination

This movie has been slowly gaining attraction since it debuted at the Telluride Film Festival in September last year. It continues to gain speed as it opens up in more theaters across America and today this British monarchy saga has been nominated for 12 Academy Awards including acting honors for Colin Firth, Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush and also as best picture.

The King's Speech follows King George VI, also known as Bertie as he rises to the throne in 1936. It starts out with his life as a Duke, largely out of the public eye, because of his stammering. As the radio picks up steam in the 1930's, the royal family is required to give more public broadcasts, which is difficult for the young Prince Albert.

The unprepared king turns to a radical speech therapist, Lionel Logue, to help overcome his nervous stutter and the two forge a friendship.

With unbelievable talented actors and actress such as Colin Firth, Geoffrey Rush, Helena Bonham Carter, Guy Pearce, Timothy Spall, directed by Tom Hooper and produced by Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Gareth Unwin, this movie has already gaining lots of attentions. 3rd Trailer: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

The last chapter of the story of Harry Potter will be separated into two films, according to the producer David Yates. We have seen two trailers so far, and just recently another trailer was released.

In the first film, the story begins with the young wizard Harry, Ron, and Hermione are struggling to find its way in the world of Muggles (humans), with their lives are at stake and the fate of the world of wizard is entirely up to them.

Voldemort has raised its strength becomes stronger than before. He now has mastered the "Ministry of Magic" and also "Hogwart."

Harry, Ron, and Hermione decided to complete what has been left behind by Dumbledore, to continue his work, find the remaining "Horcruxes" to defeat the lord of darkness. The chance has reduced dramatically so everything done must be according to their plan.

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," the first part will hit big screens on November 19, 2010 while the second part will be aired in 2011.

Clint Eastwood Directed Supernatural Themed Film 'Hereafter'

Clint Eastwood who has widely known for his drama films had tried something else, which is a different theme in Hereafter, a supernatural film. This film has already been premiered at the Toronto Film Festival on 12 September 12 2010. This is the same time, Warner Bros. released its official trailer.

Hereafter tells about the life of three people who have to deal with the death in different ways. George (Matt Damon), a young American executive who has supernatural powers has to deal with his supernatural power. Marie (Cécile De France), French journalist who has a traumatic experience in which her life was almost gone during the tsunami. Marcus (McLaren Frankie), school boy in London who can communicate with the ghost of his twin brother, Jason (George McLaren) who died in an automobile accident. All three have the same experience and they are reunited by fate.

Hereafter is starring Matt Damon, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jay Mohr, Cécile De France, Lyndsey Marshal, Steve Schirripa, Mylène Jampanoï, and Marthe Keller. Hereafter will be released on October 22, 2010.

New Poster: Love and Other Drugs

In 'Love and Other Drugs,' Director Edward Zwick has teamed Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway as a pair of free spirits who meet cute and find themselves in a budding relationship; the film follows their struggles with the ups and downs of romance and love.

This film is a humorous expose of the highly competitive and cutthroat world of pharmaceuticals. An ambitious college grad schmoozes doctors, nurses, hospitals and begins a relationship with a woman suffering from Parkinson’s, all while competing against other salesmen who trying to push their brand of drugs

Life As We Know It

This comedy-drama genre film is directed by Greg Berlanti, starring Katherine Heigl, Josh Duhamel, Josh Lucas, Christina Hendricks and Jean Smart.

It tells a story about Holly Berenson (Katherine Heigl) an up-and-coming caterer and Eric Messer (Josh Duhamel) who is a promising network sports director.

After a disastrous first date, the only thing they have in common is their dislike for each other and their love for their goddaughter, Sophie.

But since what they have in common is suddenly Sophie in the world, Messer and Holly are forced to put their differences aside.

Juggling career ambitions and competing social calendars, they'll have to find some common ground while living under one house. The poster is hilarious but to some, this poster is a bit too much, as the baby seems as drunk his father too.

Schedule to open worldwide on December 22nd, 2010.

Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan

Black Swan is the most recent film directed by Darren Aronofsky (also directed Requiem for a Dream and The Wrestler) opens this year. This is a thriller wrapped in a drama. The film will become one of the opening movies during the Venice film festival within the next few months.

From the trailer, it finally reveals what is the actual role of Natalie Portman with her thick makeup in this movie. Aronofsky himself have convinced his audiences that he was not kidding, and the movie he was making isn't just an ordinary ballet film.

The film tells Natalie Portman who plays as Nina, a ballerina whose life is changed after elected as the main star in a play titled Swan Lake. Nina was getting pressure from her mother, who put her under such stressful life in order to achieve great success.

In the other hand, Nina's teacher has ordered her to be more seductive and loose while performing her dance. Along with these pressures, came Lily (Mila Kunis), a dancer who seems to have advantages compared to Nina. She begins to stare at her new arrivals and they both begin a not so usual. Black Swan opens on December 1st, 2010. Complete casts of this film are Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, Winona Ryder, Barbara Hershey, and Vincent Cassel.

First International Poster: The Town

The Town is a film based on the novel "Prince of Thieves" by Chuck Hogan. The film is about Doug MacRay (Ben Affleck), a leader of bank robbers' group. Cruel and proud because they can steal almost everything and run away with being caught.

Doug was never afraid of losing someone close to him, because after all he never had a serious relationship. But everything changed when the group at last, were holding a bank manager named Claire Keesey (Rebecca Hall).

Although Doug and his friends let Claire unhurt, but she realized that the robbers knew her name and where she lived, it made her afraid. Then Claire met a guy named Doug who's simple and attractive.

Claire, of course not aware of Doug is actually the same man that terrorized her in the bank. Their attraction to each other will gradually transform into a passionate love once herded them into a dangerous and deadly situation.

"The Town" is written and directed by Ben Affleck himself. Screenplay for the film is written by Peter Craig (Waterbug) and Sheldon Turner (Up In The Air).

Scheduled to open on September 17th, 2010 will also be starring Jon Hamn, Jeremy Renner, Blake Lively, Pete Postlethwaite, Titus Welliver and Chris Cooper.

Buried: New Poster

Buried tells about a contractor who works in Iraq, Paul Conroy (Ryan Reynolds). After a group of militants attacked Iraq, Paul woke up and found himself buried alive in a coffin under the ground.

He did not recall any incident before he fell asleep, but he slowly began to remember everything. Armed with only a lighter and a cell phone, he races against time to escape this claustrophobic death trap, the oxygen supply is running low. Paul only had 90 minutes to escape before his life ended.

Buried is starring Robert Paterson, Ryan Reynolds, José Luis García Pérez, Stephen Tobolowsky, Samantha Mathis, Warner Loughlin, Ivana Mino, Erik Palladino, Heath Centazzo, Joe Guarneri, Anne Lockhart, and directed by Rodrigo Cortés.

Monsters: New Trailer and Poster

One of the most talk-about films in the SXSW film festivals is "Monsters", many critics give good responses about this film, according to them this is a film that has successfully merged thick elements of contemporary romance and blended it so well with science fiction. Gareth Edwards directed this film with only a crew of five men and two players, Scott McNairy and Whitney Able.

Gareth and his team flew to Guatemala, Belize, and Mexico, to search for the filming location and at the same time find support for this movie. "Monsters" is a story happened six years after earth suffered from an alien invasion, by that time NASA discovered many new lives begin to grow back on earth.

A probe was launched to collect samples of new life form, but finally it fell in the vicinity of Central America. Shortly after, new life forms began to emerge and grow. To minimize the damage, half of Mexico as the infected areas has been quarantined.

Today, the military of the United States and Mexico is still struggling to stifle a huge creature, by now the story is actually just begin that is when an American journalist has agreed to find his boss's daughter and take her out of danger zones to safe places on the American frontier. “Monsters" is scheduled to hit screens on October 29, 2010 (USA).

Skyline: Must Watch New Trailer

Skyline is a sci-fi movie directed by Colin Strause dan Greg Strause, formerly known as the director of Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem. "Hydraulx" the name of the company owned by them has been widely known for hugely successful in making visual effects for Avatar, Iron Man 2, 300 and many more.

This film takes place in a Los Angeles high-rise and tells the story of a group of friends who wake up in the middle of the night after partying all night long, they are awoken by a strange light that dazzled in through the window.

The source of this light has attract many people to come out but what happens next is these people are suddenly vanishing into the air.

They eventually discovered that the forces from another world has try to kill the human on earth. Now, a group of survivors must fight for their lives.

Skyline is scheduled to hit screens on 12 November 2010 starring Eric Balfour, Brittany Daniel, Donald Faison, Scottie Thompson, Neil Hopkins, Tanya Newbould, Crystal Reed and David Zayas.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader New Poster and Trailer

"The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader ' tells the story of Lucy and Edmund Pevensie (Georgie Henley and Skandar Keynes) who return to Narnia when they pulled into a ship painting. They then arrived at the Dawn Treader, a ship owned by Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes).

In a mission to find "The Seven Lost Lords", Caspian, Edmund, Lucy and their cousin Eustace Scrubb will again visit the land of Narnia and find adventures which no one has ever possibly imagined. Little Fockers New Poster!

After "Meet The Parents" (2000) and "Meet The Fockers" (2004), Greg Focker (Ben Stiller) is back in the third film "Little Fockers." This movie is starring Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Blythe Danner, Jessica Alba, Laura Dern, Harvey Keitel, Teri Polo, Barbra Streisand (and Dustin Hoffman?). Directed by Paul Weitz (American Pie) this film is scheduled to be released on December 22, 2010.

It has taken 10 years, two little Fockers with wife Pam (Polo) and countless hurdles for Greg to finally get "in" with his tightly wound father-in-law, Jack. After years of married and underwent a series of unpleasant moments, Greg is now finally able to get into the "circle of trust" father-in-law, Jack (Robert DeNiro).

But unfortunately the trust did not last long, as Greg again ruins it, because he no longer believed that Greg can foster home and be a leader for a good family. But with all the misunderstandings, spying and covert missions, will Greg pass Jack's final test and become the family's next patriarch or will the circle of trust be broken for good?

Saw 3D Teaser Trailer and New Poster

From the Saw series, Saw 3D the latest Saw film, this time will be scarier because it will be released in 3D format. Kevin Greutert will return to direct this latest series, having previously also gush Saw VI.

Kevin also plays his role as the editor since the beginning of this series until Saw-5. Saw VII planned to hit worldwide theaters on October 29, 2010. Saw 3D will bring back Dr. Gordon, played by Cary Elwes.

The doctor who first appeared in earliest Saw film, this time will be accompanied by the presence of other players such as Cary Elwes, Costas Mandylor, Betsy Russell, Sean Patrick Flanery, Gina Holden, Chad Donella, Laurence Anthony, Dean Armstrong, Naomi Snieckus, Tanedra Howard, Shauna MacDonald and of course, Tobin Bell, the jigsaw, as the soul of this film will again present in this film.

There is not much to tell at this time because the official only revealed that this film will tell you about a group of people who had survived the terror of the jigsaw, now seeking protection and support from a man who also survived brutality from the jigsaw, this guy is Bobby Dagen.

According to Oren Koules, producer for all these Saw films, Saw 3D will be the last film of the Saw series.

Yogi Bear: Poster & Trailer

Jellystone Park is threatened to stop operating, closed! This is because it has no longer profitable for the greedy Mayor Browin.

He then decided to close it and sell the land. This means people can no longer enjoy the natural beauty of this park.

The worst thing happens as Yogi and Boo Boo will lose their home. Faced with these problems and the biggest challenge, Yogi had to prove that he is the smartest bears.

He and Boo Boo will be united with an old enemy Ranger Smith to find a way to save JellyStone Park.

That's roughly synopsis of "Yogi Bear", this film will be voiced by Dan Aykroyd and Justin Timberlake, as Yogi and Boo Boo.

The Legend of the Guardians of Ga'Hoole Owls - New Poster

"Legend of the Guardians" is an animated film directed by Zack Snyder. This film’s voice talents are starring Geoffrey Rush, Hugo Weaving, Sam Neill, David Wenham, Emily Barclay, Abbie Cornish, Emilie de Ravin, Ryan Kwanten, Jay Laga'aia, Miriam Margolyes, Helen Mirren, Jim Sturgess and Deborra-Lee Furness.

This film is an adapted film based on the book by Kathryn Lasky, the first book of the three series of the published books. Soren talks about an owl that was kidnapped by a flock of owls from "St. Aegolius Academy" an orphanage, or abbreviated to St. Aggie's.

This academy should be a place for owls that do not have parents, but instead become a place of brainwashing of the St. Aggie's residents. They become soldiers that later prepared to fight a wise owl who had been living quietly in Ga'Hoole.

Legend of the Guardians will be in theaters on September 24, 2010 and available in 3D on selected theaters.

Let Me In: Latest Trailer and New Movie Poster

"Let Me In" was a remake of a Swedish film with title "Let the Right One In", a film by Tomas Alfredson that has been successfully received many awards.

It is about a 12-year-old boy named Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee)which has been continuously bullied by his classmates and ignored by his divorced parents. No friends and alone, Owen spends his days with making plan to revenge his evil friends.

At night, Owen often spy on other tenants in his apartment. Owen finally has a new friend named Abby (Chloe Moretz), a girl his age who lived next to his apartment. Abby who like to come out at night with bare feet seemed immune to the cold of winter.

Because of the similarity between the fate of the two, Owen was able to open with his new friend. They were finally in a relationship that is very unique.

Director Matt Reeves has made the story a bit difference from the original film, the difference is from the name of the character in his remake, if the original film there are Oskar and Eli, in his film the name was changed to Abby and Owen.

Starring Chloe Grace Moretz, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Richard Jenkins, Cara Buono, Sasha Barrese, this film will be release on October 1st, 2010 (wide).

Faster Official Trailer

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson after playing the role as a tooth fairy in The Tooth Fairy, this time The Rock will serve as ex-con in the movie titled Faster. This is an action drama film with Billy Bob Thornton, Maggie Grace and Oliver Jackson-Cohen. Recently, CBS Films has just released Faster some new photos and an official trailer.

Faster is about a man named driver (Dwayne Johnson) who, after 10 years in prison come out with one purpose which is to revenge for the death of his brother (who was killed in a bank robbery crime). Two men become his targets, the first one is a veteran cop who will soon retire (Billy Bob Thornton) and an assassin named Killer (Oliver Jackson-Cohen). Driver has only one purposes to uncover the truth behind his brother's murder. In the midst of it, drivers just find out aware that the name list he has is not complete and soon become some back fire, when the situation turned him into the target.

Faster is starring Dwayne Johnson, Billy Bob Thornton, Carla Gugino, Maggie Grace, Moon Bloodgood, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Matt Gerald, Annie Corley Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Marisa Saks Micaela Johnson, Aedin Mincks and Jeffrey Daniel Phillips. This film is directed by George Tillman Jr. and will be released on 24 November 2010.

Shyamalan's Devil: New Poster

Devil is one of three series of horror films "The Night Chronicles" which will be produced by M. Night Shyamalan. The film tells about a group of people trapped in an elevator, at first it does look like an accident but turned into awful scene.

Strange occurrences start happening, they realized that there is a devil that terrorizes them and the devil is disguised among one of them. They become so suspicious of one another and trying to get out of the elevator.

The movie was originally titled "The Night Chronicles: Devil" will be directed by Drew Dowdle and John Erick Dowdle. John himself previously directed "Quarantine" in 2008 ago. Shyamalan is not only as producer but also as the writer in this film.

Starring Chris Messina, Geoffrey Arend, Logan Marshall-Green, Bojana Novakovic, Jenny O'Hara, Bokeem Woodbine and Jacob Vargas. "Devil" is scheduled to hit screens worldwide on September 17, 2010.

Resident Evil: Afterlife New Poster and Trailer

The fight for the living dead is continue. Alice is back with "Resident Evil: Afterlife". The film started its production in Toronto, Canada, and will be released in 3-D format. Actress Milla Jovovich will return to fight with the zombies and the company called Umbrella will continue to be part of this film.

Ali Larter and Spencer Locke who previously played in "Resident Evil: Extinction" will continue their respective roles in this film. While for new actors, there is Wentworth Miller, who will play as Chris Redfield.

Paul W. S. Anderson sits as the director and also as the write and producer of this film. He was also the previous director and writer of "Resident Evil" (2002). "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" (2004) and "Resident Evil: Extinction" (2007).

This film is still about deadly and dangerous virus that has been changing the face of this world becomes a place full of death and zombies. In the midst of a world that has really ended, Alice travels continue to search for human survivors and bring them to a safe place. Her fight with Umbrella Corporation also continues but this time with more deadly weapons.

Alice get help from an old friend, together they walked into the Los Angeles, who believed the safest place from the "living dead". But once on the city, Alice actually found that the whole town has been occupied by thousands of zombies. A lethal trap has also been prepared for Alice and her friends. Release date USA September 10, 2010.
