Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan

Black Swan is the most recent film directed by Darren Aronofsky (also directed Requiem for a Dream and The Wrestler) opens this year. This is a thriller wrapped in a drama. The film will become one of the opening movies during the Venice film festival within the next few months.

From the trailer, it finally reveals what is the actual role of Natalie Portman with her thick makeup in this movie. Aronofsky himself have convinced his audiences that he was not kidding, and the movie he was making isn't just an ordinary ballet film.

The film tells Natalie Portman who plays as Nina, a ballerina whose life is changed after elected as the main star in a play titled Swan Lake. Nina was getting pressure from her mother, who put her under such stressful life in order to achieve great success.

In the other hand, Nina's teacher has ordered her to be more seductive and loose while performing her dance. Along with these pressures, came Lily (Mila Kunis), a dancer who seems to have advantages compared to Nina. She begins to stare at her new arrivals and they both begin a not so usual.
