Produksi ulang Star Wars ditinggal sutradaranya

Rencana memproduksi ulang film science-fiction berlatar belakang antariksa “Star Wars” mengalami hambatan dengan pengunduran diri salah seorang sutradaranya Josh Trank pada Sabtu (2/4/15) lalu. Alasan pengunduran diri Trank dari proyek ini adalah untuk mencari “kesempatan kreatif” lainnya.

Dari ketujuh seri film fiksi ilmiah yang bakal di buat ulang ini, Trank terpilih untuk menyutradarai seri kedua "Star Wars Anthology" yang rencananya akan ditayangkan pada tahun 2018.

Sebelumnya Trank telah menyutradai film fiksi ilmiah berjudul “Chronicle” yang diproduksi pada tahun 2012 dan ke depan ia juga akan dipercaya untuk mengarahkan sekuel berikutnya dari film “Fantastic Four”.

Tiga antologi film “Star Wars” akan mengaitkan trilogi baru dalam serial film yang akan dibuat. Seri pertama "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" rencananya akan mulai diputar pada Desember tahun ini.

Fast & Furious 7 di posisi puncak box office selama 4 pekan berturut-turut

Fast & Furious 7 masih mengalahkan posisi film pendatang baru Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 dan sudah menduduki posisi puncak box office Amarika Utara hingga empat pekan berturut-turut. Ini artinya Fast & Furious 7 adalah film pertama yang mampu menduduki urutan teratas box office selama empat pekan sejak The Hunger Games pada tahun 2012 lalu.

Berdasarkan estimasi, film laga yang dibintangi oleh Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson dan almarhum Paul Walker ini akan mampu meraup keuntungan hingga 18.3 juta dollar AS di bioskop-bioskop Amerika Utara selama akhir pekan.

Sekuel ke tujuh dari film aksi balapan mobil Fast & Furious ini juga memberikan hasil yang menakjubkan di luar negeri, khususnya di China film ini telah meraup hingga 323 juta dolar selama 15 hari.  Sedangkan diseluruh dunia Fast & Furious 7 telah meraup pendapatan hingga 1,3 miliar dolar. Menduduki peringkat kelima penghasilan film tertinggi sepanjang masa. Di pasar domestik sendiri film ini telah meraup penghasilan hingga 320 juta dolar.

Di urutan kedua setelah Fast & Furious 7, adalah film komedi besutan Kevin James, Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2. Fiml yang sudah diputar di sebanyak 3.633 lokasi ini meraup penghasilan hingga 44 juta dolar. Di posisi ketiga adalah film percintaan The Age of Adaline yang meraup 13,4 juta dolar pada 2.991 lokasi pemutaran.

Beberapa film populer lainnya pada akhir pekan ini di Amerika Serikat dan Kanada adalahHome (8,3 juta dollar), Unfriended (6,2 juta dollar), Ex Machina (5,4 juta dollar),The Longest Ride (4,3 juta dollar), Get Hard (3,9 juta dollar), Monkey Kingdom (3,55 juta dollar), dan Woman in Gold (3,5 juta dollar).

Dewi Sandra Yakin Film Haji Backpacker Akan Sukses

Haji Backpacker sebuah film yang diarahkan oleh sutradara Danial Rifki itu pada bulan oktober akan mulai tayang di bioskop-bioskop. Para pemain yaitu Dewi Sandra, Abimana Aryasatya, Laura Basuki, Ray Sahetapi, Pipik Dian Irawati dan Laudya Cynthia Bella sangat menaruh ekpektasi dan optimisme tinggi bahwa film yang mengambil tema tentang haji ini akan sukses.

Salah satu pemain, yang menaruh ekpektasi tinggi terhadap film Haji Backpacker ini sendiri ialah Dewi Sandra, ketika Dewi Sandra ditemui dalam acara silaturahmi bersama pemain Film Backpacker di Hotel Dharmawangsa, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan diungkapkan bahwa film yang dimainkan oleh Dewi Sandra dan rekan-rekannya tersebut sangat mengunggah dan tidak akan mengecewakan penonton.

"Film ini nggak akan mengecewakan. Film ini bagus dan menggugah," kata Dewi usai acara silaturahmi bersama pemain film HAJI BACKPACKER di Hotel Dharmawangsa, Kebayoran Baru, Jakarta Selatan, Minggu (7/9) malam.

Bahkan Dewi Sandra, sangat optimis bahwa film bertema religi tersebut dapat diterima baik oleh masyarakat Indonesia atau dunia. Sebab penggunaan berbagai bahasa yang ada dalam film tersebut.

"Kami punya satu visi, ini pembelajaran masyarakat semua, nggak hanya untuk orang Indonesia tapi untuk negara manapun. Karena film ini dari berbagai bahasa," tandasnya.

Seperti yang diketahui, film Haji Backpacker ini mengisahkan tentang perjalanan seorang pria ke 9 negara, pria ini sengaja melakukan perjalanan karena dirinya sempat menghadapi permasalahan besar yang membuat frustasi dan ingin bebas. Karena niatan tersebut, pria ini akhirnya melakukan perjalanan ke berbagai negara, pengalaman selama perjalanan yang dilakukannya malah mendorong dirinya untuk kembali kepada Tuhan karena sejak dihadapi dengan masalah besar pria ini sempat meninggalkan Tuhan.

"Ini untuk semua lapisan karena kita semua dalam tujuan yang sama dan pasti. Cerita manusia dalam perjalanan berliku-liku. Why, why, why, selalu itu pertanyaan yang keluar mengenai maksud dan tujuan Allah," urai Dewi.

Film Haji Backpacker ini sendiri rencananya akan tayang di bioskop-bioskop Indonesia pada awal Oktober 2014, bertepatan dengan musim haji dan hari raya Idul Adha yang jatuh pada Bulan Oktober.

Inilah Teaser Batman V Superman : DAWN OF JUSTICE

Secara resmi, produksi film Warner Bros sama sekali belum mengumumkan teaser film terbarunya yaitu BATMAN V SUPERMAN : DAWN OF JUSTICE. Namun teaser film ini sudah beredar luas di situs video Youtube. Semenjak film ini diumumkan akan segera digarap, telah banyak teaser-teaser fan-made yang beredar luas di internet. Namun bagaimana pendapat Anda dengan teaser yang kami tampilkan dibawah ini?

Dalam teaser tersebut, menampilkan BATMAN yang sedang mengamati monitor yang berada di depannya. Batman saat itu sedang mengamati tayangan Jendral Zod yang menyebarkan ancaman. Ancaman dari Jendral Zod sendiri dapat Anda lihat di film MAN OF STEEL.

Tokoh Batman yang diperankan oleh Ben Affleck ini tidak begitu banyak membocorkan wajah batman apalagi sosok superman yang sedang beraksi. Selain itu tata cahaya yang terlalu gelap membuat teaser ini terlihat buram. Walaupun sebelumnya diperlihatkan logo Warner Bros dan Legendary Pictures, tapi tetap teaser ini masih diragukan banyak pihak.

Sampai berita ini ditulis, pihak warner bros sama sekali belum memberi komentar terhadap teaser-teaser yang beredar luas di internet termasuk teaser ini. Hal ini pun menimbulkan rasa penasaran yang semakin tinggi bagi penggemar Batman dan Superman, terlebih film ini sendiri baru akan tayang 2 tahun lagi. Waktu yang sangat lama untuk membuat sebuah film bergenre super hero.

Karena akan tayang 2 tahun lagi, sangat mungkin tahun 2014 ini Warner Bros sama sekali tidak merilis Teasernya tersebut. Jadi fans tidak bisa berharap banyak bahwa warner bros akan memberikan tayangan singkat dari pertemuan dua super hero tersebut. Namun dalam acara Comic Con di San Diego tahun ini, ada kemungkinan pihak warner menyiap kejutannya, kita tunggu saja.

Film yang akan rilis pada Mei 2016 ini akan dibintangi oleh Ben Affleck (Batman), Henry Cavill (Superman) serta Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman). Selain itu mega proyek DC Comics ini juga dikabarkan akan menghadirkan lebih banyak lagi superhero dan super villain lain untuk bergabung.

Tahun Depan, Film Dokumenter The Beatles akan Hadir

Seorang sutradara yang juga merupakan salah satu penggemar berat The Beatles, Ron Howard memutuskan untuk segera merilis film tentang empat idolanya tersebut. Dalam film yang menjadikan Ron sebagai seorang sutradara tersebut akan memfokuskan jalan ceritanya pada konser tur The Beatles. Hasilnya, film The Beatles nanti akan dikemas dalam bentuk film dokumenter.

Ron yang juga dikenal karena memproduseri film ‘The Da Vinci Code’ mengambila latar belakang karier The Beatles tahun 1960 – 1966. Karena membuat film tentang idolanya tersebut, Ron mengaku gembira dalam mengerjakannya sebab berkat orang yang bergabung dalam The Beatles tersebut mampu membuat budaya berkembang dan populer di dunia. 

"Saya sangat gembira bisa mengerjakan cerita yang luar biasa dari empat pemuda yang menyerbu dunia pada tahun 1960an ini. Sehingga berdampak pada budaya populer dan perkembangan manusia," ucap Ron Howards, Jumat (18/7/2014).

Kisah dalam film The Beatles yang akan mengembalikan waktu ke jaman tahun 1960-1966 ketika The Beatles menjadi dambaan seluruh dunia. Mereka melakukan tur tanpa henti selama bertahun-tahun dengan mengunjungi Eropa, Amerika Utara dan sebagian wilayah Asia. 

"Waktu akan berputar di sekitar 1960-1966 dimana The Beatles dan seluruh penggemarnya mengambil alih dunia. Band ini melakukan tur tanpa henti bertahun-tahun, mulai dari Eropa, Amerika Utara dan sebagian Asia. Tentunya dengan 'footage' konser mereka di tempat-tempat tersebut. Apalagi di masa itu, Fab Four juga merilis album 'A Hard Day's Night' dan 'Rubber Soul'," tambah Ron.

Selama eksis dalam waktu 10 tahun, tahun 1960-1966 adalah rentang waktu dimana The Beatles memasuki masa keemasannya. Inilah yang menyebabkan Ron memilih tahun tersebut sebagai setting dalam film dokumenternya nanti. Selain itu, Ron menambahkan, itulah tahun dimana The Beatles membuat perubahan besar dalam dunia musik dunia, dan hebatnya hanya dibuat dalam waktu enam tahun.

"Saatnya kita memahami dampak bahwa mereka pernah ada di dunia. Periode enam tahun itu adalah transformasi yang drastis bagi budaya global dari keempat personel The Beatles. Dualitas inilah yang menarik untuk dijelajahi," jelasnya lagi.

Demi mendapatkan kesempurnaan cerita, sutradara film lawas 'Apollo 13' itu juga mengajak seseorang yang sudah pernah mengerjakan film mengenai Paul McCartney Cs sebelumnya. Dia adalah Nigel Sinclair, produser dari film dokumenter personel The Beatles lainnya, George Harrison, yang berjudul, 'George Harrison: Living in the Material World'.

Selain itu, dua personel band asal Liverpool, Inggris itu yang masih hidup, Paul McCartney dan Ringo Starr, serta istri mendiang John Lennon, Yoko Ono dan George Harrison, Olivia Harrison akan dilibatkan dalam bentuk rekaman wawancara baru. Rencananya, film dokumenter yang belum berjudul itu akan dirilis tahun depan.

Film 'Soekarno : Indonesia Merdeka' (extended version)

Film yang mengangkat kisah sang proklamator tayang kembali dengan durasi yang lebih panjang (extended). Tercatat pemotongan sebanyak 20 menit di versi sebelumnya karena adanya berbagai pertimbangan dan ada beberapa adegan yang dituntut oleh Rachmawati Soekarno Putri agar tidak ditayangkan pada film Soekarno.

Namun setelah gugatan yang dimenangkan Multivision Plus, sang Sutradara Hanung Bramantyo berencana akan meluncurkan film Soekarno : Indonesia Merdeka (extended version). "Berdasarkan pertimbangan komersil, kalo lebih dari 2 jam shownya akan jadi sedikit. Karena dipaksa 2 jam 15 menit ada yang hilang dari film ini," ucap Hanung saat ditemui di XXI Epicentrum, Kuningan, Jakarta Selatan.

Adapun adegan-adegan yang dihilangkan pada film Soekarno sebelumnya ialah adegan-adegan percakapan Bung Karno dan beberapa scene ketika Bung Karno memberikan pidato menggeloranya di depan rakyat. Oleh karena itulah, Film Soekarno yang sebelumnya terkesan ada yang hilang. Dan karena pihak MultiVision memenangkan gugatan tersebut atas Rachmawati, sang sutradara mengaku lega karena di versi terbaru nanti dialog-dialog yang dhilangkan akan dimasukkan ke dalam alur cerita.

"Padahal, dengan dihilangkannya adegan dialog itu berdampak pada cerita film. Apalagi Bung Karno seorang yang dikenal dengan kemampuan berdiplomasi. Makanya ini yang ingin kami tonjolkan kembali," tandas Hanung.

Penayangan ulang film soekarno di jadwalkan hadir pada 14 Agustus 2014, Hanung menyatakan penayangan tanggal tersebut sebagai upaya menyambut Hari Kemerdekaan Indonesia.

 

'Captain America' keeps full name in most of world

Captain America will keep its patriotic full title in most of the world when the superhero adventure hits the big-screen.

Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios gave distributors around the world the option of shortening the title of "Captain America: The First Avenger" to simply "The First Avenger," out of concern about anti-American sentiment.

But the only countries that took them up on it were Russia, Ukraine and South Korea.

In other territories, the movie will go out with the full title, a sign that the brand value of the Marvel Comics hero trumps any potential anti-U.S. feelings in some parts of the world.

Movie titles often are changed in foreign countries for cultural reasons or because the original names don't translate well. In French-speaking countries, "The Hangover" and its sequel were titled "Very Bad Trip."

Starring Chris Evans as the patriotic super-soldier, "Captain America" opens in U.S. theaters this July. Poster left side is the latest version for this movie.

Professional motorcycle racer and Ducati MotoGP works driver Nicky Hayden has a new toy! Hayden just recently picked up a brand new Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG.

Apparently Hayden went for the special limited-series "Edition One" model which is powered by the AMG 5.5-liter V8 engine, along with an AMG engine cover in genuine carbon fiber, red-painted brake calipers and an AMG Performance steering wheel with Alcantara inserts in the grip area. Sounds pretty bad ass to us! What do you think?

Andrew Garfield is Spiderman

Colombia Pictures and Marvel Studios has officially announced the cast for the next Spiderman movie, the choice falls to 26-year-old young actor from England, named Andrew Garfield.

If the name is still unfamiliar for you, Garfield previous role is as Anton in the movie "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" directed by Terry Gilliam and starring Christopher Plummer and the late Heath Ledger.

Garfield will also be playing in a movie about Facebook founder "The Social Network", beating other nominees such as Jamie Bell, Josh Hutcherson, Alden Ehrenreich, Frank Dillane, Kick-Ass actor Aaron Johnson and Anton Yelchin.

First Concept Image at Steven Spielberg's Terra Nova

For TV series audiences, director Steven Spielberg is back, and this time he brings a whole new series about the story of prehistoric era. This latest project is called Terra Nova.

The new concept image of this TV series has been just released featuring the prehistoric world of Terra Nova with the mountains towering and dinosaur. Somewhat similar to the beautiful world we had seen in Avatar.

Terra Nova will be setting in prehistoric world about 150 million years ago. It will become an extraordinary adventure of a family who was thrown back into prehistoric times inhabited by dinosaurs, dinosaurs as part of a massive expedition to save mankind.

Behind this series, sitting in a chair is the executive producer Steven Spielberg (Jurassic Park, The Pacific), Peter Chernin, Brannon Braga (24, Enterprise) and David Fury (24, Lost).

Terra Nova has not yet been scheduled but is expected to launch in early 2011 and is planned to be made as many as 13 episodes.

Tobey Maguire says no to Spider-Man 4!

After playing the same character as our superhero in three Spider-Man movies, Spider-Man has become very attached to actor Tobey Maguire. Unfortunately, in the 4th movie, Maguire will be no longer playing as Spider-Man.

"I'm really proud of what I have achieved with Spider-Man, during the last 10 years," Maguire said, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The actor who was 34, decided to stop playing in Spider-Man, it was decided only a few weeks before the 4th sequel started its movie production. The decision was made by Maguire because he disagrees with what Sony Pictures had decided for Peter Parker character.

Sony Pictures decided that in the 4th sequel, Peter Parker will return to school and the movie will give a bigger portion and focuses on human's side of Peter Parker rather than his superhero side.

Although he is no longer playing this movie sequel, he is still very exciting about the next sequel "I really cannot wait to see the next sequel of the Spider-Man movie, I believe this movie is still have an amazing story."

Spider-Man was not only losing its main actor Maguire, director Sam Raimi has also decided no longer work for the 4th movie. Raimi has been long known as the guy who was behind the success of three previous Spider-Man movies. The latest news, Maguire will be replaced by Robert Pattinson, the vampire will become the next Spider-Man!

While to replace Sam Raimi, as reported by Entertainment Weekly Sony Pictures recently has release 3 director candidates who will work on this Marvel Comics superhero, they are Marc Webb, Michael Bay and Gary Ross.

The movie was based on a novel and will be on screen under the same titled 'Bel Ami' directed by Declan Donnellan.

The star of 'Twilight' will play as Georges Duroy, a young journalist who reached his top career after involving in many women life.

The first woman with him was Madeleine, played by Uma Thurman. Christina Ricci and Kristin Scott Thomas will also get some exciting scenes with Robert.

Robert is really expecting his new movie to be far more successful than his vampire theme movie. He wants to escape from the shadow of those vampire characters!
