Whiteout - See Your Last Breath!

Whiteout is based on the 1998 comic book of the same name by Greg Rucka and Steve Lieber. The film was produced under the banner of Dark Castle Entertainment by Joel Silver and Susan Downey, is directed by Dominic Sena, and stars Kate Beckinsale and Gabriel Macht in the lead roles. Whiteout is slated to be released on September 11, 2009.

Story: Carrie Stetko, the lone U.S. Marshal assigned to Antarctica, is investigating the continent's first murder, which draws her into a shocking mystery. Up - Another masterwork from Disney & Pixar

A young Carl Fredrickson meets a young adventure spirited girl named Ellie. They both dream of going to a Lost Land in South America. 70 years later, Ellie has died. Together, they embark in an adventure, where they encounter talking dogs, an evil villain and a rare bird named Kevin.

Up is a 2009 American computer-animated comedy-adventure film produced by Pixar Animation Studios. It is distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, Up is director Pete Docter's second feature-length film (after Monsters, Inc.), and features the voices of Edward Asner, Christopher Plummer, Bob Peterson, and Jordan Nagai. It is Pixar's tenth feature film and the studio's first to be presented in Disney Digital 3-D,and is accompanied in theaters by the short film Partly Cloudy. The film will also be shown in Dolby 3D in selected theaters.

"Up" is a wonderful film, with characters who are as believable as any characters can be who spend much of their time floating above the rain forests of Venezuela. They have tempers, problems and obsessions. They are cute and goofy, but they aren't cute in the treacly way of little cartoon animals. "Up" doesn't think all heroes must be young or sweet, although the third important character is a nervy kid. This is another masterwork from Pixar, which is leading the charge in modern animation "Roger Ebert"

Ninja Assassin - Rain is Back Sexy and More Action!

Raizo (Rain) is one of the world’s deadliest assassins, having been kidnapped as a child and raised by the Ozunu Clan, believed by the world to be a myth. When Raizo’s friend is executed by the clan, Raizo flees into hiding. He later reemerges, seeking revenge.

Meanwhile, Mika Coretti (Naomie Harris) is a Europol agent who investigates money linked to political murders and finds that it is linked to the Ozunu Clan. She defies her superior, Ryan Maslow (Ben Miles), and retrieves secret agency files to find out more.

The clan, finding out about the investigation, attempts to assassinate her, but she is rescued by Raizo. Hiding in Europe, Raizo and Mika must find a way to take down the Ozunu Clan.

Rain may not be a big star yet, but the South Korean pop singer Rain is starting to land big roles in some big films. He already has a supporting role in Speed Racer, and now has nabbed a leading role in Ninja Assassin, produced by Joel Silver and the Wachowski Brothers, and directed by James McTeigue (V for Vendetta).

Tim Burton (Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice) attempts to work his gothic magic over one of the best loved stories of all time Lewis Carroll's 'Alice In Wonderland' and 'Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There', which first told the story of a young girl, who after following a rabbit down a hole, is transported to a strange world. Whilst the Disney version of the tale relied on sweetness and light to delight the audience, Burton fans can be sure to look out for the same cartoon traits as earlier masterpiece 'The Nightmare Before Christmas'.

The traditional tale has been freshened with a blast of girl power, courtesy of writer Linda Woolverton (Beauty and the Beast). Alice, 17, attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types. Off she runs, following a white rabbit into a hole and ending up in Wonderland, a place she visited 10 years before yet doesn't remember.

Among those who welcome her back is the Mad Hatter, a part tailor-made for Johnny Depp as he collaborates with Burton for the seventh time. "This character is off his rocker," Zanuck says.

Aussie actress Mia Wasikowska, 19, best known for HBO's In Treatment, has the coveted title role. "There is something real, honest and sincere about her," Zanuck says. "She's not a typical Hollywood starlet."

There is the usual Burton-esque ghoulishness (Helena Bonham Carter's Red Queen, whose favorite retort is "Off with their heads," has a moat filled with bobbing noggins), but Zanuck assures most kids can handle it. "The book itself is pretty dark," he notes. "This is for little people and people who read it when they were little 50 years ago."

Ponyo

The plot is centered on a fish girl, or mermaid, who runs away from her home in the sea. She ends up stranded on the shore and is rescued by Ssuke, a five year old boy who lives on a cliff. After taking a great liking to her, Ssuke names her Ponyo and vows to protect her forever. Meanwhile, her father, Fujimoto, is looking for his daughter, upset that she ran away. He calls his wave spirits to return Ponyo to him. Ssuke is heartbroken by this, and goes home with his mother, Lisa (or "Risa" in some translations), who tries to cheer him up, but to no avail.

Ponyo and her father have a confrontation, where Ponyo refuses to let her father call her "Brünnhilde". She declares her name to be Ponyo, and voices her desire to become human because she has started to fall in love with Ssuke. Her father silences her with difficulty and goes to summon Ponyo's mother. Meanwhile, Ponyo, with the help of her sisters, breaks away from her father, and uses his magic to make herself human. This causes an imbalance in the world, which in turn results in a huge storm. Riding on the waves of the storm, Ponyo goes back to visit Ssuke. Lisa, Ssuke, and Ponyo stay the night at Ssuke's house, hoping the storm will be over, whereupon Lisa leaves the house to check up on the residents of the nursing home she works at.

Granmammare, Ponyo's mother, arrives at Fujimoto's submarine. Fujimoto notices the moon has come out of its orbit and the satellites are falling like shooting stars. Granmammare declares that if Ssuke and Ponyo pass a test, Ponyo can live as a human and the world order will be restored. Ssuke and Ponyo wake up to find that most of the land around where the house has been covered by the ocean. Lisa has not come home yet, so with the help of Ponyo's magic, they make Ssuke's toy boat life-size and set out to find Lisa. While travelling they see ancient extinct fish swimming, such as the Gogonasus and Licosus.

After landing and finding Lisa's empty car, Ponyo and Ssuke go through a tunnel. There Ponyo loses her human form and resumes the form of a fish. Ssuke and Ponyo are taken by Fujimoto into the ocean and down to the protected nursing home where they're reunited with Lisa and meet Granmammare. Granmammare asks Ssuke if he can love Ponyo even if she is a fish or mermaid. Ssuke replies that he loves Ponyo in all forms. Granmammare then allows Ponyo to become human once Ponyo kisses Ssuke on the surface.

IN THE LOOP is a foul-mouthed comedy that draws on non-specific events to create a world that is terrifyingly familiar: The US President and UK Prime Minister fancy a war, but not everyone agrees that war is a good thing. Harry Potter - The last act

After the theatrical release of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince", the great saga of Harry Potter almost completed. Only the seventh and final volume is still lacking. But "Harry Potter and the sanctuaries of death” will be split in two parts in the cinemas. A look ahead to the grand finale!

After the dramatic events in "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" Harry is entirely on his own. Only his eternal companions Ron and Hermione know he was still at his side. On the perilous search for the three Horkruxen are no longer safe, the situation is becoming desperate. The power Voldemort grows seemingly unstoppable. As it is the dispute of the three friends comes, everything seems lost. The only hope is the saga of the sanctuaries of the death ...

A great story requires an even greater end - so apparently thought the makers of the most successful film series of all time. Firstly, it was the cinema release of the sixth part, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" to eight months moved saturated, then decided to act in the last two films to tell.

The first part of "Harry Potter and the sanctuaries of death" will be on cinemas at 18 November2010, the second and last will be at 14 July 2011. Where is the seventh volume of the history of JK Rowling split?

The director David Yates is already give a first indication for this question. In an interview with the LA Times he told that the team just turns the scene in which Harry, Ron and Hermione were in the forest of the grippers captured. Shortly after this scene will probably be part of one with a classic cliff-hanger ending, said Yates.

This seems clear: In the first of the last two films, we will see Harry and his friends almost exclusively on the road and on the run experience, far raway from Hogwarts. Accordingly, the team travels to director Yates for several months in the British Isles, filmed at various locations in England and Wales.

The last film we are witnessing the return of Harry after Hogwarts and the decisive battle against Voldemort and his followers.

Yates also wants bring this fight similiar to the epic canvas like Rowland did. It is not just about bombastic special effects: Yates stated that the last part is so emotional like a great opera.

The shooting is already in full swing, and so were many of the cast questions. Until the end of this course are the main characters. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint plays Harry, Hermione and Ron, and the remaining permanent staff remains on board.

Orphan (2009)

The tragic loss of their unborn child has devastated Kate and John, taking a toll on both their marriage and Kate's fragile psyche as she is plagued by nightmares and haunted by demons from her past.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Harry Potter's sixth year at Hogwarts turns out to be quite the exciting year. Yet, during this time, Harry and his friends go through daily life, busy with school work, Quidditch (in which Harry has been made captain of the team), and, of course, romance. Ron has found a new girlfriend, Lavender Brown, a perky (if not obnoxious) Gryffindor student, and Hermione is not happy about it. Ron and Hermione's friendship takes a toll throughout the school year and Harry, as usual, is stuck in the middle. Harry, meanwhile, is facing a romantic dilemma of his own: he realizes he is falling for his best friend's sister, Ginny Weasley, who is unfortunately dating Harry's classmate, Dean Thomas. Harry's pining for Ginny and Ron's hilarious relationship with Lavender give this story a large dose of reality.

Throughout all the school drama, however, the obvious darkness of Voldemort's impending rise to power is always apparent. The incredible action-packed climax is sure to leave the audience stunned and, inevitably, prove that you shouldn't trust everybody who you think is good and also prove that not everyone can manage to survive.

Santana revives the spirit of Woodstock

"True hippies believe only two things: love and peace!" With these words, Latin-rock legend Carlos Santana at the start of his tour in Germany good old virtues recalls.
